Cold Cabbage Salad Recipe

Ingredients for Cold Cabbage Salad:
– Half a cabbage


– A small half of a carrot


– One teaspoon of chili powder


– One tablespoon of light soy sauce


– One tablespoon of rice vinegar


– A pinch of salt


– One tablespoon of oil


– One tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds (optional)



Method for Cold Cabbage Salad:


Step 1: Shred the cabbage into thin strips, wash, and blanch in boiling water before rinsing in cold water.


Step 2: Drain the cabbage and squeeze out excess water. Wash the carrot and cut into thin strips or grate it. Place the carrot and cabbage in a large bowl, pour in light soy sauce and vinegar, and add salt. Place chili powder on top of the vegetables.


Step 3: Heat oil in a pan and pour it over the chili powder. Sprinkle sesame seeds and mix well.


Step 4: The quick and easy cold cabbage salad is ready to be served.



Cooking Tips for Cold Cabbage Salad: Blanch the cabbage just until it changes color, do not overcook as it will affect the texture of the dish. Immediately rinse in cold water, and you can repeat this process to make the cabbage more crisp and vibrant in color.
